Green Heart Fair
The Green Heart Fair is Brisbane's premier sustainability event, promoting innovative green living in a free, fun, family-friendly environment.
With 15,000+ attendees, this major Brisbane City Council event is run twice each year, once on Brisbane's southside and once on Brisbane's northside. Exhibitors like Buyequip promote products and services that help Brisbane residents be more sustainable.
Hillbrook Sustainability Day
Hillbrook Anglican School invite the community, past and present staff, students and parents, to join them on June 4th 2011 between 10 am and 4 pm for their second Sustainability Day. All are welcome to connect, enjoy and celebrate the schools 25th year at this special event.
The program includes the following to help you learn how to make a difference:
- Practical demonstrations and workshops.
- Innovative speakers - Keynote speaker Matthew Wright The Young Environmentalist of the Year 2010 and CEO of Beyond Zero Emissions.
- An exciting hypothetical "Community Solutions to Global Problems" with our panel of experts.
- Connect with local community groups and organisations showcasing sustainability initiatives.
- Enjoy locally made food.
- Remember how things used to be with The Enoggera Historical Society and the Enoggera Boys Home.
- Recycle e-waste with Buyequip.
- Recycle bottles & glass jars, bicycles, garden pots, phone books, & unwanted reading classes
- Create a new wardrobe with our clothing exchange organised in conjunction with The Clothing Exchange an Australia wide organisation that addresses unsustainable consumption practices with clothing/fashion.
- Photographic competition, art trail, Children's Activities - story telling from Eco Hero author, face painting, make sea creatures
- Entertainment - Strange Fruits, Kerbside Pickup
Sunshine Coast World Environment Day Festival
On Sunday the 5th June 2011 from 9am to 4pm, Buyequip will be participating in the Sunshine Coast World Environment Day - a "Festival of Ideas" at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
The festival is hosted by the Sunshine Coast Environmental Council and focuses on environmental awareness, sustainability and ways to live green on the Sunshine Coast. Event exhibitors from the South East Region will be showcasing their sustainable products and green services on the day and organic food stalls, eco art and entertainment are all part of the holistic event.2011 Dates
